NitroEurope - or NEU for short - is a project for integrated European research into the nitrogen cycle. NitroEurope is part of the EU's Sixth Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development, and will run for 5 years from February 2006 until 2011.
There are a number of interesting sessions lined up for iEMSs 2010, with one that is being organised by myself and Tim Oxley (http://www.iemss.org/iemss2010/page04.html, see session S15, abstract below) and others which are relevant for modelling activities within NitroEurope.
Each September PhD students and young scientists from across Europe gather to present their data at the annual European Nitrogen Cycle meeting. In 2010 and with the support of the Biochemical Society the 15th meeting in the series will also include a number of contributions from invited speakers. Every young participant attending the meeting is encouraged to present their work, preferably orally but at least as a poster.
